Acque Vive Collection
This collection is derived from a watercolour of the sea I painted. The pastel ice cream tones will play a significant part of the collection I hope to produce for my final intergrated assignment for uni.

Candyfloss Mules
Oh my! How gorgeous are these Candyfloss Kurt Geiger mules that have been featured in Vogue! I think I may have to photocopy this page many times and leave it lying around the house dropping hints of my birthday thats coming up! I think a big love heart around the pink sparkly candyfloss one just may be needed so he knows which one is The One!

Architectural Design, Venice Inspired
I have been working on some designs the last few days as part of my research for my final ever design project for my degree. The main inspirations have been the sea as the basis for the patterns and architecture as the refining detail however this design has the sole focus on the architecture.
The image is a combination of a photograph I took whilst rambling through Venice’s back streets and painting with water colour. The design has them manipulated in photoshop and combined with another image I designed. A few manipulations later and the result is this.

Doges Column Dress - Aqua
Well I really should be finishing my dissertation however, I really needed a break and missed actually designing rather than writing or manipulating fabrics and images as part of a research file.
This is just a quick sketch I made of a fluid silk dress whose design was inspired by the columns of Venice and the windows of the Doges Palace. The centre fabric is a copyrighted design by yours truly which I featured earlier in the blog. It was the result of a watercolour of the sea which I painted and then manipulated on CAD.
The clasp is inspired by not only the decorative windows of the Doges palace, but a vintage broach I bought myself just before Christmas.
Right well I best get back to my dissertation for now

New Year making way for spring to arrive
Happy New Year everyone! Hope every one had a lovely holiday?
Yesterday signaled a bare looking hallway and living room when the Christmas trees were finally taken down however one glimmer of a fresh start was the potted plants I used to make up the festive décor on the big silver cabinet in my dining room. Despite the lack of holly, mistletoe, Christmas tree branches and baubles, the dresser still looks decorated as though it is welcoming the spring when it arrives and although I’m not usually a potted plant sort of lady, I’m really enjoying still being able to hang onto the plants until I can plant them out in the spring.
No need for the dresser to be totally bare |
awaiting spring for planting so eco friendly decorations |
Christmas a mere glowing memory |
